  1. RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests include:

  1. Isolation of novel bioactive peptides and proteins from microbial and plant sources. The production and extraction processes will be optimized and efficient methods will be developed for their purification.

  2. Biochemical characterization of purified bioactive peptides and proteins will be performed to understand their mechanism of action and potential applications.

  3. Investigation of application of bioactive peptides and proteins in human health will be studied such as in cardiovascular diseases, cancer and hypertension.

  4. Applications of bioactive peptides and proteins in food industry will be studied as antioxidants and antimicrobials for preventing food deterioration and spoilage.
